Chart notes
BIYOMBO broke on top then quickly took on challengers and vied with BURN JAKEY BURN up the backstretch, began to edge away from rival while taking on the challenge of CHAMPION BY DESIGN entering the turn, vied for the lead then shook free at the head of the lane, quickly widened to a clear advantage and kept to task. ROCK CITY ROCKET tracked the pace up the backstretch, hustled along four to five wide into upper stretch, finished with good response and cleared second best. CHAMPION BY DESIGN raced in the back in the opening quarter, quickly moved up to challenge BIYOMBO for the lead leaving the backstretch, vied around the turn, could not move on with eventual winner at the head of the lane and weakened to show. LOVER BOY vied briefly in opening stages then weakened out of top flight, chased three wide around the turn and into upper stretch and lacked a needed rally. BURN JAKEY BURN vied for the lead up the backstretch, got collared by the eventual winner entering the turn and steadily retreated.
