Chart notes

FIRST GLIMPSE was well placed just off the pace, saved ground while asked on the turn, slipped through inside of foes late on that bend, made a bid coming to the quarter-pole, took the lead in upper stretch, responded well in the final furlong and held gamely under strong urging. WINTER'S GHOST contested the pace while off the inside, vied in the two path on the turn, was roused near the five-sixteenths pole, came into the stretch in the three path, fought on well in the drive but missed while narrowly able to get the place. MASON MANIA bobbled slightly at the start, was urged along well back on the outside, went around the turn in the three then four path, turned into upper stretch in the six path, rallied outside in the final furlong and closed well to just miss the place while up for the show. SKI COUNTRY settled on the outside, moved closer outside the nine-sixteenths pole, was asked in the four path on the turn, made a bid at the quarter-pole, battled outside of three foes into the final sixteenth and was outfinished. BARESE disputed the pace on the outside, was asked in the three path on the turn, spun into upper stretch in the four path, battled between horses into the final sixteenth and was out-kicked. ALLABOUTTHEMONEY broke out at the start, tracked the pace down the backstretch, was given his cue in the two path on the turn, chased the leaders in the stretch and lacked the needed kick. GRANDPA'S KID dropped back then settled at the rear, saved ground on the turn and was no factor.
