Chart notes
SMOOTH FLYIN MIKE stalked the leader from the outside, three wide on the turn, came four wide off the bend and made a bid, engaged the leader nearing the sixteenth marker and dueled to the wire and prevailed late to prove best under a drive. EASY ACTION vied for the early lead two wide, then shook clear on the turn in hand, moved out to be three wide off the bend, then was confronted by the winner nearing the sixteenth marker and dug in gamely to duel with that rival and just missed. MR. HUSTLE was settled early, then was ridden along on the turn two to three wide, swung out six wide leaving the turn and offered a late rally to clearly best the rest. INEVTABL CONECTION bobbled at the break, vied for the early lead on the inside, then chased the pace by the quarter pole and weakened. MATTA tracked the early pace from the inside, then moved out to be between rivals on the turn and then was empty in the drive.
