Chart notes
TIRUPATI took this field into the first turn while under a snug hold, continued a measured pace up front along the backside, was collared outside with five sixteenths to go, quickly edged away from that foe by the quarter pole, then braced for another challenger outside turning for home, disposed of that one foe by the furlong marker and continued to travel strong late improving the margin of victory at the finish line. TWO SIP SALLY travelled three deep in the middle of the pack, closed the gap three wide with three furlongs from the wire, loomed a menacing presence five wide at the top of the lane, was no match for the winner who had another gear in mid-stretch and easily held for the place share when crossing the finish line. CINNAMON BITS settled between horses in mid-division, was scrubbed on with five sixteenths from home keeping pace with the inside rivals on the final bend, shifted out five wide for the drive to the finish line and wore down foes late to win the show photo with runners on both sides at the wire. KID GIZMO travelled on the fence in midfield in the early going, was urged on the rail midway around the far turn but could not reel in the leaders up front, dueled for the show award on the fence in upper stretch but just lost holding on for the show money by a nod at the finish line. POETIC AMY trailed on the fence in the early stages, was roused three eighths out to catch up to the field three wide by the quarter pole, was fanned out widest in the six path straightening for the stretch drive and finished up willingly down the lane but was on the losing end of a three way photo for the minors on the outside. BLACKDIAMOND DINNY shadowed the pacesetter outside into the first of two turns, crept closer down the backstretch, moved in to actually put his head in front for a brief moment between rivals midway on the final turn, was repelled by the pacesetter who had more to offer by the quarter pole and retreated in the two path with a furlong left to run.
