Chart notes
ALBERTA BE MINE had a good spot watching the top two runners outside down the backstretch, maintained position when nudged between foes at the seven sixteenths marker, was shuffled back a few placings in midturn, re-rallied three wide at the top of the stretch and with a late burst in the final sixteenth took command to open up at the wire for the win. VERY SAVVY broke in bumping a rival on the start to trail the field down the backside, still was at the rear but began to lengthen stride around the turn, angled out four wide with three sixteenths to go passing rivals inside and was full of run in the last eighth of a mile to get up nearing the wire for the runners up share. GIZMO'S B F F rated kindly in mid-division inside rivals along the backside, made a quick move between horses for position at the half, closed in on the pacesetter through the turn to poke his head in front in the four path turning for home but could not quicken enough with the winner in deep stretch and faded late to settle for third place. DIFFERENT DRUM broke sharp for the early lead, gave way up front while getting to the rail at the half mile marker, chased the frontrunner while sitting just behind that leader on the fence through the turn, continued to fight on inside to be in the thick of things for it all on the rail in upper stretch but evened out in the final sixteenth of a mile to be a fringe player in the end. REMEMBERING RHODA travelled on the rail near the rear in the beginning, narrowed the margin on the leaders when shifting out three wide by the quarter pole, continued to alter outside five wide in upper stretch and finished up with interest to pass tired runners down the lane. GUNNAWIN was away a step slow to begin, stalked close to the rear having one foe beaten along the backside, made little improvement outside a runner on the turn, angled out widest in the seven path for the drive but lacked a bid in the stretch running. DIAL A CLICHE travelled in mid-pack between runners down the backside, improved by the half to track the pacesetter four deep, inched closer going the overland route four wide around the bend, angled out to be in the hunt six wide at the top of the stretch, could not sustain the rally and faltered by the furlong pole. SYSTEMATIC broke out bumping foe at the start, was rank fighting the riders restrain to move up and take the lead by the half, settled into stride up front around the turn, was headed on either side turning for home and wilted inside at the furlong marker.
