Chart notes
AFTERNOON NAP came in leaving the gate, tracked along the inside then shifted to the two path on the turn, tipped out to launch a bid outside the to pair in upper stretch, put a head in front at the sixteenth pole and drove clear. MISS JO'S CURLIN pulled early while pressing the pace from outside, lost touch with the leader and chased two wide on the turn before challenging again outside the quarter pole, fought between rivals into the deep stretch and could not summon the needed late kick while holding on for second. GLORIOUS LIFE stalked two wide then found the rail in the early going, waited behind the pacesetter through the turn, roused at the top of the lane, lacked room and steadied in upper stretch, then finished willingly through a tight spot along the fence and missed second. CANANI was off a bit slow to begin, trailed early, advanced along the rail around the bend, steered out in the lane and finished willingly to round out the superfecta. DANZING FOREST established the front while under pressure from the outside, inched away from that rival, took pressure again approaching the quarter pole, dueled into the final furlong, fought to the sixteenth pole and yielded between rivals. DESERT ROCKET steadied when lacking room early, chased two wide into the turn, lugged out at the three-eighths pole, angled down to the inside and failed to menace. DRIVE FOR SHOW chased from off the pace, raced three wide outside DESERT ROCKET into the turn, got forced out by that foe at the three-eighths pole, steered inward and trailed two wide into the lane and was never a factor. WHO IS PAVEL stalked three deep then two wide to the turn, lost ground around the bend and faded.
