BRONZE GIRL broke alertly and was hustled to the early lead, set a solid pace while pressured heading to the half-mile marker, shook free into the turn and showed the way to the quarter pole, met the bid of HAPPY CHAPPY into upper stretch, dueled the game HAPPY CHAPPY into the final sixteenth, was unyielding into deep stretch and lasted at the finish for a game win. HAPPY CHAPPY sent to be forwardly placed in the early running, raced close up to the solid pace heading to the half-mile pole, chased three wide into the turn and stalked the pace nearing the quarter pole, advanced into the stretch and confronted BRONZE GIRL approaching mid-stretch, battled gamely into the final sixteenth, could not get by the determined winner in deep stretch and just held for second in a blanket finish. ROSE OF JERICHO took back off of the solid early pace, chased three wide into the turn and loomed at the quarter pole, ran evenly to the furlong marker while within range, closed willingly into the final sixteenth, surged in deep stretch and just missed for the win and place, while well clear of the rest for the show honors. CEE'S THE IMAGE bobbled at the start and was off a step slowly, rated off of the solid early pace, advanced three to four wide into the turn, ran evenly to mid-stretch, closed with good late interest but could not impact the leaders into the final sixteenth. LITTLE LADY LOU hustled away from the start, was forwardly placed to begin then rated off of the solid early pace, gained ground into the turn and chased from the rail nearing the quarter pole, maintained an inside path into the stretch and ran evenly to the furlong marker, needed more into the final sixteenth and was outkicked in deep stretch. IRISH PRANCER took back off of the solid early pace, gained ground two to three wide along the turn, ran evenly to mid-stretch, could not find more into the final sixteenth and finished evenly. LEEDSTHESKY raced close up to the solid early pace, was well placed into the turn and chased four wide nearing the quarter pole, swung five to six wide into the stretch, lost position at the furlong marker and did not offer a final response. VHAGAR lost her path at the start and broke slowly, trailed in the early stages, was guided four wide into the turn and did not threaten in the stretch. GROOVY GRAY GAL chased the pace leaving the start, went up and pressed the solid pace inside of BRONZE GIRL heading to the half-mile pole, lost position into the turn, dropped back at the quarter pole and trailed into the stretch, came up empty in the drive and was not persevered with late.
