HORATIO away well and tracked the dueling leaders into the backstretch while racing just out from the rail, launched his bid three out from the rail entering the final turn, assumed command entering the lane, and held off a late charge from DEAL EM to prevail. DEAL EM settled well off the early pace while racing one out from the rail entering the backside, advanced from along the inside midway down the backside, rallied from along the rail entering the final turn, steadied sharply off heels soon after entering the turn, but closed with determination three wide in the drive to prove easily second best. MR MORRIS was off a step slow, but rushed up from along the rail to vie for the lead entering the first turn, set a pressured pace in the run down the backstretch and into the final turn, was overtaken entering the lane, and was outfinished late while still clearly best of the rest. BECKETT'S BEST settled well off the contested early pace while saving ground at the rail entering the backside, commenced his bid three wide entering the final turn, but lacked the needed closing response when called upon. PISCO away alertly and pressed the pace three wide entering the first turn, continued to force the issue three wide in the run down the backstretch and into the final turn, but faded in the late stages. OUR BLOKE broke sharply and dueled for the lead from between rivals entering the first turn, struggled to maintain his position entering the final turn, and weakened over the final furlong.
