ZIO JO settled in the two path, crept closer on the backstretch, roused between while brushing with inner rival at the quarter pole, tipped out and drew alongside the top pair at the eighth pole, then surged clear to win going away. JEWELED SHILLELAGH closest in pursuit from the two path, drew alongside the leader at the five-sixteenths pole, dueled into the final furlong, was no match for the winner in deep stretch but stayed on to edge CODE DUELLO for second. CODE DUELLO dictated the pace from inside to the far turn, took pressure from outside at the five-sixteenths pole, maintained command into the final furlong, yielded to the winner in midstretch and was outfinished for second. EXPLAIN THIS AUDIT reserved in the early going and moved inside, went outside a rival at the seven-sixteenths pole, had one beat entering the lane, then kept on through the stretch to improve position. KING APOLLO unhurried two then three wide early, remained in the three path to the far turn, spun four wide into the lane, passed tired rivals and failed to threaten. TALKLESSWORKMORE stalked the pace outside a rival in the two path, rounded the far turn three wide and weakened down the lane. TEJON PASS rated along the inside, brushed with outer rival at the quarter pole, cut the corner into the lane and also weakened. MICI'S EXPRESS pulled near the back along the inside, trailed around the far turn, had little left for the drive, was eased in the final furlong and walked off.
