Chart notes
LEGITIFY (IRE) showed the way early two wide then along the rail, took mild pressure early on the backstretch before inching clear again, pressured again at the seven-sixteenths pole, kicked clear for good on the far turn under urging and held safely under left and right handed urging. BIG DRINKER lacked early speed and trailed on the inside, passed a rival on the backstretch, brushed with inner foe while four wide at the five-sixteenths pole, continued off the rail into the lane, then finished willingly to earn the place honors and whittled the gap on the winner late. POP D'ORO stalked from inside, came under a ride on the far turn, took aim two wide into the stretch but finished evenly in the final furlong. PICKING IT UP reserved in the early going from the fence, moved off the rail on the backstretch, lacked room and brushed with outer rival at the five-sixteenths pole before getting shuffled back, chased three wide into the lane and could not rally. SPIRITIST tracked three then two wide around the clubhouse turn, exited the backstretch in the five path, angled down to the rail around the bend and lacked further response when called upon. WAR ON THE WEST raced up closed from outside, applied light pressure early on the backstretch then stalked the leader to the half-mile pole, drew alongside again into the far turn, dropped back around the bend and tired down the lane.
