Chart notes
PAINTED GLORY was lightly bumped at the start, quickly moved clear, set the pace shifting in and racing just removed from the fence, drew away from the field in the stretch while drifting out and held the lone rival safely at bay. WHY EM SEA AY was caught outside runners four to five wide through the first turn, willingly advanced outside on the far turn, reached striking distance by the top of the stretch but could make no headway in futile pursuit of the winner while clearly second best. RUSH TO GLORY was a bit restless in the gate, reserved through the early going, began to pick it up outside runners at the five-sixteenths, fanned six wide into upper stretch, was no match for the top pair but best of the rest. ROIKOP was forwardly-positioned into the first turn just in behind the leader then taken hold of and dropped back from the second flight to mid-pack rating along the inside, moved out past the five-sixteenths then angled out five wide at the top of the stretch, went evenly in the lane. STOLEN VALOUR tracked in behind in the two to three path early, saved ground on the far turn just off the leader and eventual winner, failed to rally and ran on one-paced. ROYAL RIBBON was between runners two to three wide off the pace early, dropped back from about mid-pack passing the half, offered no late bid. QUEST TO BE PROUD was well-placed between runners three to four wide in the second flight early, failed to make a late bid. LEMON SWEETS broke a bit awkwardly, was in tight three to four wide between runners near the three-quarters, failed to menace.
