Chart notes
COLLECTIVE FORCE travelled in midfield on the inside, edged closer moving well on the fence behind the leaders down the backside, waited to pounce in the two path behind rivals in the final bend, rallied up the fence having a seam in upper stretch, burst on through with a furlong to go and was drawing away convincingly for the victory in the end. AMERICAN DECISION assumed command into the first turn, set the pace while pressed inside dueling down the back straight, repelled the early speed foe to have a clear advantage midway on the far turn, then was collared on both sides with an eighth left to run, could not fend off the winner inside but did finish up stubbornly to the line to hold on to the runners up share. EXUDE was unhurried to trail in the early stages, began to uncork a run four wide circling at the quarter pole, shifted out five wide with a furlong remaining for clear run and was closing quick on the leaders late and got up in a photo for the show money. WYOMING BILL travelled in the middle of the pack three wide, improved three deep down the backside watching the contesting duo, moved closer when scrubbed for more three wide with five sixteenths from the prize, poked his head in front briefly between rivals in the three path in upper stretch but was outkicked in the final eighth of a mile by the two inside foes and just lost holding for the third place at the wire. MYRA'S BOY tracked outside in the first bend, was then shuffled back a few positions along the backside, made a bold move circling four wide around horses midway on the final turn, loomed in the five path turning for home, could not sustain the run and faded at the furlong pole. HAWKESBURY threw its head on the break to be ahead of only one runner into the first turn, made an early move for better position midway on the backstretch on the fence, backed away on the rail with five sixteenths to go, shifted out four wide at the top of the lane and passed a weary foe in the stretch running. RUNAWAY CHARLIE tracked inside at the start, moved in to force the issue on the rail down the backstretch, was scrubbed on but was going the wrong direction on the inside of rivals around the far turn and emptied out in the two path by upper stretch.
