Chart notes
ASHLEY'S ARCHER tracked inside, came out at the quarter pole three to four wide seeking to split rivals, bumped the outside foe repeatedly at that juncture, got through between and under stout urging surged late to just get up. SCORCHING tracked from inside saving ground, bid inside in upper stretch while lugging out just a bit, straightened out with the lead, was kept to the task but just nailed. DEWOLF was bumped at the start, stalked from outside mid-pack into the turn, moved out from three to five wide on that bend eventually swinging out seven deep turning into upper stretch, loomed a threat, drifted in about mid-stretch, was best of the rest. NO TIME stalked the early pace outside then between runners, swung six wide leaving the turn, was bumped past the three-sixteenths, switched outside a drifting foe at the eighth pole and kept on late. READY FOR CANDY settled off the pace early, raced mid-pack near but just off the fence into the turn, saved ground on that bend then fanned four wide turning for home, was bumped repeatedly, steadied when shut off and altered out ten wide near the three-sixteenths pole, ran on but was left with too much to do. FABER was between runners early about mid-pack, dropped back and switched out at the five- and one-half, fanned eight wide outside runners turning for home, drifted about in the stretch and was not near enough to factor. NOTORIOUS GANGSTER was lacking early speed, came out five wide by the top of the stretch, failed to menace. KOKOMO got away well and quickly moved clear, set the pace racing just off the rail, lugged out a bit in upper stretch, came up empty. PRINCESS OF STORM hopped at the start, was outpaced early, swung nine wide turning for home, was never near enough to threaten. DILWAALA bumped a rival at the start, moved forward through traffic pulling and racing rank when in tight, ranged up outside the second flight chasing, was done at the five-eighths and retreated, was eased through the stretch and walked off. FOLLOWING A STEWARDS' INQUIRY INTO THE STRETCH ASHLEY'S ARCHER WAS DISQUALIFIED FROM FIRST AND PLACED FIFTH BEHIND READY FOR CANDY FOR CAUSING THAT RIVAL INTERFERENCE.
