Chart notes
KING OF HOLLYWOOD prominent leaving the start, attended to the early pace outside of SWIFT TAP, prompted the decent pace into the backstretch run, pressed the pacesetter approaching the half-mile marker and took command into the second turn, met the bid of DOIN'ITTHERIGHTWAY into upper stretch, dueled to the furlong marker and dug in past mid-stretch, was unyielding into the final sixteenth and lasted in the late stages for a determined win. DOIN'ITTHERIGHTWAY rated just off of the early pace, tracked two wide into the first turn and was well placed into the backstretch run, tracked the decent pace outside of rivals heading to the half-mile marker, roused three wide into the far turn, loomed at the quarter pole and drew to even terms with KING OF HOLLYWOOD, dueled into the stretch, fought gamely into the final sixteenth, surged in the late stages and just missed for the win, while well clear of the rest for second. JAYJAYDEE forwardly placed leaving the start, saved ground into the first turn, stalked the decent pace while saving ground through the backstretch run, shifted off of the rail entering the far turn and chased to the quarter pole, went three to four wide into upper stretch, could not muster a late response and was clear for third at the finish. IRISH MEADOW settled off of the early pace, content to trail through the backstretch run, was outrun into the far turn and did not factor late. SWIFT TAP assumed early command leaving the start, showed the way into the first turn, set a prompted pace through the backstretch run, carved out decent fractions nearing the half-mile marker, overtaken into the second turn, could not keep pace into the stretch and faded late.
