BRINDI (IRE) hustled leaving the start, raced close up to the early pace nearing the half-mile pole, well placed into the turn, stalked outside of READY TO ROCKNROLL along the bend and prompted that rival approaching the quarter pole, loomed into upper stretch, confronted READY TO ROCKNROLL and battled past the furlong marker, responded to urging into the final sixteenth and edged away late. READY TO ROCKNROLL broke sharply and disputed the early lead with EACHPEACHPEARPLUM, assumed command and set the pace from the inside entering the turn, carved out moderate fractions while prompted nearing the quarter pole, met the bid of BRINDI into upper stretch, battled the winner past the furlong marker, grudgingly gave way in the late stages and was a clear second. MY RONDA tracked the early pace from the second flight, chased two wide into the turn then angled to the inside nearing the quarter pole, got caught a bit in tight nearing the top of the lane, found room into the stretch, closed in the late stages and held well in the end for third. EACHPEACHPEARPLUM went up to press the early pace from the inside, took back and tracked the pace approaching the turn, got caught a bit in tight nearing the three-furlong pole and steadied at that station, chased the leading pair nearing the quarter pole, angled out into the stretch, was outkicked in the late stages and missed for third. OK BY ME broke alertly, took back off of the early pace and tracked from the outside heading to the half-mile marker, well placed into the turn, mounted a three wide bid into the stretch, could not sustain that run into the late stages and flattened out. SUMMER ELECTION bobbled at the start and was off slowly, trailed in the early stages, saved ground along the turn, was a bit erratic through the stretch drive and did not factor late. GOONIE settled off of the early pace, went two wide along the turn and did not make a late impact.
