ELLIE'S BOYFRIEND showed good speed away from the start, assumed early command and set a decent pace heading to the half-mile marker, showed the way while off of the rail approaching the turn, well handled along the bend while setting a prompted pace, held MAJESTIC PHAROAH at bay into upper stretch, drew to a clear lead inside of the furlong marker, drew off under mild urging in the late stages and was hand ridden to the wire to prevail as much the best. MAJESTIC PHAROAH hustled leaving the start, stalked the decent early pace then went up to press from the inside approaching the turn, chased from the inside nearing the quarter pole, ran in pursuit of ELLIE'S BOYFRIEND into upper stretch, was no match for the winner in the late stages and was a clear second best. CHAT BLANC tracked the early pace from the second flight, was guided to the rail approaching the turn, saved ground along the bend and chased the pace nearing the quarter pole, maintained an inside path into the lane, ran evenly to mid-stretch, could not find more in the late stages and just held for third. GRAND ROZZO rated off of the decent early pace while never far back, tracked from the second flight heading to the half-mile marker, chased three to four wide and between runners along the turn, ran in pursuit into the stretch, gave way in the final furlong and just missed for the show honors. COOLER KING prominent in the early stages, stalked the decent pace heading to the half-mile marker, well placed nearing the turn, chased three wide heading to the quarter pole, raced within aim into upper stretch and ran in pursuit to the furlong grounds, could not keep pace into the final sixteenth and faded late. ZAVA a step slow leaving the start, took back and settled inside of runners heading to the half-mile marker, shifted two then three wide nearing the quarter pole, ran evenly to mid-stretch and could not muster a late response. GAMERUN lacked early speed and trailed heading to the half-mile marker, saved ground into the turn, maintained an inside path into the stretch and advanced at the furlong marker, could not sustain that run into the late stages and weakened. ALL THE WAY raced close up to the decent early pace, chased four to five wide into the turn, could not keep pace into the stretch and tired late. NORTHWOODS rated off of the decent early pace, went wide through the turn and did not factor late. PROM KNIGHT forwardly placed away from the start, chased the early pace from between runners, lost position nearing the quarter pole, stopped in upper stretch, was eased through the lane and walked off under his own power.
