ACE ACE BABY vied three wide through the early stages, always traveling well, cruised to the lead passing the quarter pole while confidently handled, pulled away when roused in upper stretch then easily held off a late bid from HOT BETTY in the final furlong. HOT BETTY allowed to settle from the break, tracked the developing pace duel close up then pulled closer heading into the turn, was boxed in through the turn then got clear in upper stretch, finished well but could not get to the winner. READY TO GIG broke well and contested the early pace between horses, poked a head in front from the nine-sixteenths pole and held a short lead to the three furlong marker, was being shadowed by ACE ACE BABY, had no answer to the challenge, had little left for the stretch run but kept on and managed to hold third. HOT JAMMIES pushed to gain forward position vied inside of the pace scramble, was being hard ridden to keep pace from the seven-sixteenths pole, was in contention to mid-stretch then tired. ABOVE THE FOLD ducked inward at the start then was the only entrant in the field not involved in the early pace, went into a drive early to try and keep up, was not making up any ground on the turn then swung six wide into the stretch, managed to pass one late but was otherwise not a factor. STARRY BEACH was up with the leaders early but caught five wide, started to weaken before the three furlong pole and could not keep up late. This race was originally hand timed and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
