Chart notes
SILVERADO STORM vied between rivals briefly then dueled from inside, cleared outer rival on the turn, asked right-handed in upper stretch and drew off on his left lead. CITIZEN BARRETT bumped with inner rival twice early, chased greenly up the backstretch and turn, came out and brushed rival in upper stretch and got up for second. VALENTINES CANDY bumped leaving the gate, advanced three, two, then four wide around the bend, got forced out and brushed by inner rival in upper stretch, kept on through the lane and got edged by CITIZEN BARRETT for second. MR. MACHUPICCHU fractious in the gate, showed early speed inside a pair of rivals then chased at the half-mile pole, saved ground through the turn still within striking distance, could not summon the needed late kick in the final furlong and lost second and third. RUN ABBOUDY RUN fought three deep early then dueled from outside, could not keep touch with the winner and chased two to three wide around the bend and faded in the furlong grounds. PAX A PUNCH bumped with outer rival at the start, paused behind a rivals early, got forced out into the turn, forced out again at the quarter pole and into the lane and could not re-rally. EMPIRE WARRIOR bumped with outer rival twice early, chased from inside then altered out at the nine-sixteenths pole, moved up to be boxed in leaving the backstretch, lugged out to bother a rivals at the seven-sixteenths pole, lugged out again at the quarter pole while rank, eased in the lane and walked off. BUTTERMAKER raced in range three then four rivals deep, got forced six wide at the seven-sixteenths pole, dropped back to last shortly after, eased in the lane and walked off. THERE WAS A STEWARDS' INQUIRY INVOLVING THE STRETCH RUN AND RULED THAT ALTHOUGH CITIZEN BARRETT SHIFTED OUT AND BOTHERED VALENTINES CANDY, IT DID NOT WARRANT A DISQUALIFICATION.
