Chart notes
SPIRIT BEAR was bumped sideways and bobbled at the start then put to strong urging to regain contact with the field moving up between runners at the back, fanned eight wide leaving the turn bumping a rival at the top of the stretch, was bumped by drifting foes nearing the sixteenth pole and got up late. VANDOO chased the leading pair into the turn racing off the inside and in the clear two to three deep, rapidly advanced while moving out four wide coming into upper stretch, took the lead at that juncture, drifted out in mid-stretch under left-handed urging, was outfinished. I'M TENACIOUS bumped the outside rival at the start, settled near the inside at the back, came out six wide in upper stretch, was carried out a bit in mid- to late-stretch as the leader drifted, ran on. CLASSY IMAGE chased from inside a foe racing off the fence, was mostly in the two to three path, proved no match for the top ones but secured the super. SOUPER COP was about four wide into the turn off the pace fanning out seven wide for the stretch run, was in striking range in mid-stretch but passed by inside and outside foes, carried out by one of those bumping the outer rival and having to check in the process and was not persevered with in the very late stages. HOME FOR A REST was caught wide into the turn, fanned out from five to nine wide leaving that bend, was bumped at the top of the stretch, ran on. KANTBACKOFF settled outside at the back, swung ten wide, failed to menace. I'M A BOURBON GIRL was bumped into a rival at the start, pressed the early pace then forced the issue on the turn taking the lead by the quarter pole, was briefly clear at the top of the stretch but soon overtaken, dropped back and faded. KIKITSA set a pressured pace inside, gave way. FOLLOWING AN OBJECTION BY THE RIDER OF SOUPER COP AGAINST BOTH SPIRIT BEAR AND I'M TENACIOUS ALLEGING INTERFERENCE, AND A STEWARDS' INQUIRY, NO ACTION WAS TAKEN AND RESULTS TO STAND AS IS.
