Chart notes
SILENT MIRACLE had a slim lead on the fence down the backstretch, dueled inside through the turn, spurted away on the fence with three sixteenths to go, opened up strongly down the stretch and coasted home for the win when crossing the finish line. SOUPER SUCCESS had an ideal spot all alone watching the contesting duo throw it down, shifted outside three wide at the quarter pole to pose the main threat in the four path straightening out for home and moved in to be a distant second behind the dominant winner. EXECUTIVE SEARCH had a couple of horses beaten while going three deep along the backside, took closer order three wide around runners at the three eighths marker, shifted five wide at the top of the lane and was running on end late to be a clear third. PUDDINGONTHERITZ broke in on the start, pressed the pace on the outside down the backstretch, poked his head in front momentarily at the quarter pole, still was in the hunt between runners two wide at the top of the stretch but faded with seventy yards from the wire to save for a minor placing in the end. MANNIX (IRE) was unhurried trailing outside down the backstretch, began to pick up rivals four wide by midturn, shifted out widest in the six path for the stretch drive, did not switch leads until late and finished up gradually in the late stages. U S ARMY CORPS settled in mid-pack with challengers on either side, was roused but was dropping back on the turn, angled out in the five path turning for home and passed a couple of tired ones late. SPITE STORE was situated on the outside tracking in the second tier, tried to keep up between horses coming under a ride through the turn and tired four wide in upper stretch. READY FOR A FIGHT stalked close to the back ahead of one while travelling on the fence, made little impact saving ground on the bend and could not be a presence on the rail in the stretch running.
