Chart notes
TOMBI raced in the middle of the pack down the backstretch then made a three wide bid around the turn to engage the leader at the top of the stretch and matched strides with TAG ME to mid stretch while fending off that one's challenge and drawing clear. TAG ME stalked the pace from three wide down the backstretch then two wide around the turn, move up to engage the leader near the top of the stretch and matched strides inside of TOMBI to mid stretch but couldn't collar and was second best. BIG BIZ sprinted away to set the pace to the top of the stretch where he was headed, he kept on to the eighth pole before tiring. BARBIERE raced near the back through the turn and passed tired one in the stretch. DOGE OF VENICE vied for the early lead for the first furlong then prompted the pace from the inside to the half mile marker before fading. LEVEL was never a threat.
