Chart notes
PATH TO SUCCESS drifted out slightly just after the break, brushed with CITY OF GOD, was rated off the early speed from outside, roused after a half mile, took the lead from path four entering the lane then gradually drew off under urging. ONE WAY HOME well placed from inside, angled outside JACK SPRAT nearing the end of six furlongs, angled outside PATH TO SUCCESS upper stretch, lodged a mild bid in the late going and edged ahead for second nearing the wire. JACK SPRAT shared the early lead just outside ONE WAY HOME, edged ahead on the backstretch, stayed just off the rail through the second turn, was no match for PATH TO SUCCESS when set down for the drive, slowly wore down in the late going but was clearly best of the others. JUSTICEONEMORETIME prominent just outside JACK SPRAT, began to yield from tight quarters between horses nearing the end of six furlongs, moved to the rail entering the lane and had no late bid. HIGHLY PERFECT well back early while along the rail, angled out some through the second turn, angled outside ONE WAY HOME nearing the eighth pole then made up some minor ground deep stretch to finish on even terms with JUSTICEONEMORETIME. MUNNYCANTBUYMELOVE was steadied behind traffic just after the break, soon far back, saved ground and was never a factor. CITY OF GOD lugged in a bit just after the start, brushing with PATH TO SUCCESS, chased running widest of all and had little to offer for the stretch run.
