Chart notes
CATALYZED (FR) broke on top and was forwardly placed in the two path early on, cleared and tucked inside into the first turn showing the way in hand before being joined outside by JUST SO PRETTY, knocked heads with that rival down the backstretch and through the far turn getting set down cutting the corner into upper stretch, got bumped in the hind end by JUST SO PRETTY straightened away and was turned out with three-sixteenths to go, inched away to the eighth pole, had that rival come again to get on near even terms and brushed that foe at the sixteenth marker, dug in under threat and knocked heads once more through the final sixteenth and gamely prevailed on the wire. JUST SO PRETTY along the inside early on, nudged GOLDEN NOTE three wide midway on the first turn and advanced from the two path to engage the aforementioned foe in head to head combat down the backstretch two to three wide albeit while in hand, continued to duel through the far turn and into upper stretch and spun just off the inside for home, came in bumping CATALYZED in the hind end straightened away and turned that foe outwards back into herself and was shaken off a furlong out, came again to get on near even terms a sixteenth from home and was brushed by that rival, then tussled to the finish gamely but was ultimately denied on the wire. SELFLESS bumped at the start by AMENDMENT, chased two to three wide patiently handled until set down spinning just off the inside into upper stretch, then offered up a mild kick to secure the show honors. COUNTERINTELIGENCE (GB) two to three wide in pursuit, came under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, swung three wide into upper stretch and improved position to the finish. AMENDMENT broke out at the start bumping SELFLESS, chased along the inside coming under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, continued in the inside route into upper stretch and weakened. SO READY chased along the inside and then just off the inside coming under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, angled four to five wide into upper stretch and made no impact. GOLDEN NOTE just off the inside in aim of the leader, got nudged three wide six furlongs from home by JUST SO PRETTY, chased just off the inside coming under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, spun two to three wide for home and tired. There was a Stewards' Inquiry into the contact in upper stretch between the top pair and the contact in deep stretch. After review, the result was allowed to stand prior to the race being declared official.
