Chart notes
ASHBURY stalked near the rear on the outside, started to unleash a rally three wide midpoint around the last turn, shifted out in the six path with a full head of steam turning for home, seized control by the sixteenth pole and held off the late charge from the outside closing in rival in deep stretch. SPIDER BELLE was allowed to settle into stride trailing in the early stages, began to uncork a run two wide outside a rival at the quarter pole, shifted out gathering speed behind runners five wide at the top of the lane, angled out more for a clear path seven wide with a furlong remaining, found another gear late but could not get to the winner in time. UMNEYAAT tracked three wide on the outside, began to reel in the embattled lead duo by the quarter pole to be in the mix up top five wide straightening for home, poked her head in front nearing the sixteenth pole but was outkicked in deep stretch by the top two finishers and settled for a clear third when crossing the finish line. FISH MOONEY had good position on the rail watching the lead pair, kept pace while on the fence around the last of two turns to be in the hunt two wide at the top of the stretch, could not quicken with the leaders by mid-stretch and faded late to be a fringe player in the end. GABBY SQUARED sat alone in the third flight into the first turn, continued in the third tier but had company inside down the back straight, was urged but made no movement around the last turn and finished up evenly behind runners in the four path in the stretch drive. P. S. RISING STAR stalked in the second to last pairing on the rail, improved on the fence down the backside, was shuffled back positions on the rail around the far turn and came on late to pass the tired dueling early leaders in the final sixteenth. VILLI OLENTO dueled inside up top into the first turn, quickened the tempo along the backside separating himself with the other speed rival down the backstretch, spurted clear, putting away the other early pace foe in upper stretch but had nothing left for the stretch run and was engulfed by outside runners with a sixteenth a mile remaining. LOOKS LUCKY TO ME battled for the front outside early on, continued to force the issue outside opening up on the field along the backside, had nothing left to give three wide at the top of the stretch and stopped between horses at the furlong marker.
