Chart notes
BIG BOY OVI took the lead leaving the chute and rated a slim lead most of the backstretch, drew clear toward the five sixteenths pole, extended his lead at the rail on the turn but appeared lame mid-stretch, just lasted and was euthanized on the track. SHUFFLE engaged in close chase through the backstretch, raced in the three and four paths on the turn and was gaining on the winner, who was being pulled up late. THOR'S LAD gave chase, raced in the four and five paths on the turn and ran evenly to mid-stretch before flattening stride`. SALTY STARKEY gave chase through the backstretch, rounded the turn near the rail and showed little in the lane. EL PROFETO hesitated at the break, showed no speed and ran wide on the turn. BEST HOP IS A DROP chased outside then flattened in the three path on the turn. NO CONVERSATION was never a factor.
