Chart notes
ROCKSTAR RO tracked the leaders into the turn from three wide, angled in at the five-sixteenths pole to cut the corner turning for home, quickly took control and was in hand late in the drive a convincing victor. RANDELLO unhurried early to be off the pace, angled out eight wide turning for home to commence a good late rally and be up for the place. FLIPPING FISH raced mid-pack from five wide into the turn, lost position on the bend and rallied belatedly in the lane to miss the place. JOKEMEISTER rushed up to the lead from four wide down the backside after not breaking sharply, took the lead on the turn opening a clear advantage and weakened turning for home. AUTHENTIC COWTOWN raced wide into the turn mounting a mild early bid on the bend and flattened out. MIDNIGHT WARSHIP pressed the pace to the turn, dropped off the pace along the fence on the turn, was in tight along the rail steadying leaving the five-sixteenths pole and finsihed evenly. FIRSTHAND JUSTICE failed to menace. FIRST SONG flashed early speed to be on the lead down the backside, could not keep pace on the turn, was crowded on the bend being forced in to put rival in tight quarters along the rail and gave way turning for home. THE STEWARDS POSTED AN INQUIRY AND THE RIDER OF MIDNIGHT WARSHIP CLAIMED FOUL FOR INTERFERENCE BY THE WINNER ON THE TURN, UPON REVIEW THE STEWARDS MADE NO CHANGE.
