Chart notes
SHE'S MY FLAME forwardly placed leaving the start, tracked the early pace from the inside, angled off of the rail entering the turn and loomed three wide at the quarter pole, mounted a four wide bid into the stretch, closed determinedly past the furlong marker, confronted NEPHELE at the sixteenth-marker, wore down the runner-up in deep stretch and determinedly kept to task in the late stages to prevail. NEPHELE prominent away from the start, ceded the early lead to HOPING SHE WILL and stalked that runner approaching the half-mile pole, attended to the pace outside of HOPING SHE WILL into the turn, advanced along the bend and vied for the lead at the quarter pole, took command into upper stretch, was set down and led to the furlong marker, dug in when confronted by SHE'S MY FLAME nearing the sixteenth-pole, fought gamely to deep stretch, was bested in the final strides and was clear of the rest for second. FULL MOON GRAZEN lacked speed away from the start and trailed in the early stages, saved ground into the turn and improved position at the quarter pole, made a steady advance through the stretch drive and was a clear third at the finish. HOPING SHE WILL a step slow away from the start, hustled in the early stages, assumed command and set a decent pace nearing the half-mile marker, set the pace into the turn then was pressed along the bend by NEPHELE, was overtaken into upper stretch, chased to the furlong marker and gave way in the late stages. CLASSY DOE settled off of the decent early pace, went widest into the turn and chased four to five wide nearing the quarter pole, swung widest into upper stretch and ran evenly to the furlong marker, could not muster a late response and did not threaten in the final sixteenth. STAY WICKED tracked the decent early pace from the second flight while outside of rivals, chased three wide into the turn, lacked a response into the stretch drive and did not factor in the late stages. GREG THE GREAT vied for the early lead from between runners, took back and chased between rivals heading to the turn, ran in pursuit to the quarter pole and tired in the stretch drive.
