Chart notes
SUPERSONIC FLYER broke on top, took command early then was left alone to dictate the fractions, held sway through the turn then had something left when set down in the stretch, finished well and held off all challengers in a solid effort. BOURBON GLAZE raced close up but about six wide down the backstretch, continued wide through the turn, managed to avoid the trouble to the inside at the top of the stretch, finished strong under steady handling, was gaining on the eventual winner but ran out of time. ROSES R BLUE was allowed to settle from the start and raced at the rear of the compact field through the early stages, was looking to make a move on the inside through the turn then back off, angled out to the four path from the quarter pole, encountered traffic then dove to the inside at the eighth pole, putting LA POPIS in tight quarters, then finished well to gain the third spot. LION'S LAIR tracked not far behind the pacesetter but three to four wide, responded when asked to go after the leader from the five-sixteenths pole, loomed at the top of the stretch but failed to change leads and lugged in down the stretch. LA POPIS settled mid-pack through the early going, not far off the pace, racing about three wide, held position through the turn then bumped with CLAY'S OPAL INDY at the top of the stretch, shifted out to the four path then had to steady when ROSES R BLUE took the path passing the eighth pole, still had something left but had lost all chance by then. MADAME GAZELLE moved to the two path for the run down the backstretch, tracked inside to the turn, came under pressure approaching the quarter pole then tired and had little to offer in the final stages. CLAY'S OPAL INDY raced near the back of the field through the early stages, was starting to run from the back then bumped mutually with LAPOPIS at the top of the stretch then steadied near the eighth pole when in tight between horses and lost all momentum. BLUEBERRY MUFFIN broke well but was beaten to the lead by SUPERSONIC FLYER, chased that one two to three wide through the turn and weakened in the stretch. Copyright 2026 Equibase Company LLC.
