ROMANTIC WARRIOR's saddled slipped soon after the start but took a quick lead and moved to the inside to show the way, came under pressure to turn Big Bad Brass away leaving the seven sixteenths pole, raced clear leaving the five sixteenths pole, rounded the far turn near the rail and held on with steady handling. GRANDPA JOE saved ground on the first turn, picked up the chase past the seven sixteenths pole and rounded the far turn about the three path, cleared second past the eighth pole and was gaining on the winner late strides. BIG BAD BRASS tapered in and stalked two deep the first turn, challenged past the seven sixteenths pole but dropped back past the five sixteenths, raced off the rail on the far turn and weakened in the lane. BROTHER JACKSON raced well back off the rail the opening turn, gave chase from the seven sixteenths pole, rounded the far turn about the three path and could only improve his position. MIST OVER CORK settled in the three path the first turn, picked up the chase from the seven sixteenths pole then faded in the four path on the far turn. EL MORITO raced inside on the first turn, gave chase nearing the three eighths pole then faded at the rail on the far turn. TAP THE ARCHES raced well back in the four path the first turn, left the turn outside and showed little response. EL PROFETO saved ground on the first turn and faded through the backstretch. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
