Chart notes
LAST CALL VRON dueled with JEFFREY ON THE RUN through the first two furlongs, opened up from the quarter pole came three wide into the stretch and finished well under strong handling to hold off a late challenge from the runner-up. UNUSUAL MEMORIES broke well and tracked the dueling pair, stayed in the clear to the outside through the turn then bid for the lead four to five wide turning for home, finished willingly under steady handling and intermittent urging, altered course to the three path in mid-stretch, continued to gain to the wire and came up short. CAVIAR COWBOY broke out and bumped with BIG BAD BERT, took an inside path through the turn came two wide into the stretch and finished evenly. JEFFREY ON THE RUN broke well and dueled through the early stages with LAST CALL VRON, was set down from the five sixteenths and tired in the stretch. BIG BAD BERT was last away at the start, trailed the field through the turn and was unable to rally in the stretch.
