CROWN MAGIC allowed to settle away from the start, tracked the early pace between runners into the first turn, well placed through the backstretch run, chased MAXIMUM CAPACITY into the far turn and came within aim of that foe into upper stretch, tipped three wide for the drive and made a steady advance on MAXIMUM CAPACITY into the final furlong, closed determinedly into the final sixteenth, wore down the game runner-up in deep stretch and got up in the final strides to prevail. MAXIMUM CAPACITY a step slow away from the start, was sent in the early stages and set the pace into the first turn, set moderate fractions while on a clear lead through the backstretch run, showed the way into the far turn and held a clear advantage at the quarter pole, confronted by CROWN MAGIC into upper stretch, met that rival's bid and battled past the furlong marker, fought gamely while all out into deep stretch, was bested in the final yards and was well clear of the rest for second.
