Chart notes
BORDER CONTROL brushed the gate at the start then got bounced around between horses a few strides into the race, took back and angled over to the two path, steadily advanced into contention down the backstretch then bided time through the turn racing on the rail, got a clear path into the stretch and responded when set down at the three-sixteenths, quickly went clear and won well in a solid effort. HERAS HOPE broke a step slow then was sent hard to get forward position, gained the lead before a furlong and had TIZSUMMER pressing the issue to the outside, inherited a clear lead at the five-sixteenths when that rival bolted, led the field into the stretch but was overtaken by BORDER CONTROL, finished on good courage to save the place under steady handling and intermittent urging.. BUSY MAKING MUNNY broke well and tracked just behind the pacesetters, came three wide into the stretch, finished willingly but was not good enough. HELLO KID O KID O was seven wide down the backstretch, got over to the three path through the turn, then came five wide into the stretch tipped out another path for clear run and finished well under steady handling and intermittent urging. CHOKECHERY SHARI was off poorly and spotted the field several lengths head start, chased and saved ground through the turn, finished with some interest and managed to improve late. KAIA was forwardly placed from the break, tracked a couple of lengths behind the pace through the early going went three wide through the turn and was making a bid towards the leader after passing the five-sixteenths pole when bothered by the bolting TIZSUMMER, came four wide into the stretch and tired. WALK'N THE BEACH broke a beat slow and was pushed on to keep up with the field, saved ground through the turn to no avail and flattened out in the stretch. SURF STAR fractious in the gate, was hustled from the break but unable to contest the pace, stayed in a drive but was unable to keep up and dropped to the rear and chased the rest of the trip. TIZSUMMER broke out at the start then set out for the lead, dueled outside of HERA'S HOPE to the turn, bore out into KAIA near the five-sixteenths pole then bolted to the outside when clear, lost all momentum and was allowed to gallop to the wire and walked off.
