MIDNITE ALEX was checked behind traffic shortly after leaving the chute, raced in contention between horses, advanced three wide on the turn, took the lead inside the final sixteenth and began to draw clear in the waning yards. FAITH HOPE N LOVE came out of the gate trying to throw off her rider, was taken under control after leaving the chute, moved up swiftly from outside to gain the lead on the turn, was in path four entering the stretch, moved clear inside the furlong marker but did not have enough left late. SOMETHINTOBELIEVEN in the second flight early between horses, was two wide on the bend, took the rail into the lane and rallied belatedly the final eighth. COALY vied for the lead from outside STEVE on the backstretch, moved ahead two wide early in the turn, was soon challenged from outside and slowly wore down the last furlong. ADIOS KID was a step slow at the break, chased from just off the inside, angled out some on the bend, improved position to midstretch then leveled off. LUCKY MONICA reluctant and fractious behind the gate, was also a step slow at the beginning, bumped from the rear just out of the gate, began to progress two wide on the turn, swung five wide for the stretch run and improved position, as well, without threatening. HARLEY'SRUNAWAYKID broke somewhat slowly and outward at the start, bumping LUCKY MONICA, soon trailed, swung to the outside entering the lane, lugged in upper stretch and had no late bid. DAISY MAE ATTACK raced in the second flight from outside on the backstretch but faded four wide on the turn. MAYA'S WARRIOR broke on top, was hustled along, soon chasing better speed from along the rail, gave way before finishing three furlongs, was steadied behind HARLEY'SRUNAWAYKID midstretch and altered out. STEVE displayed earl speed inside COALY but began to fade after three furlongs.
