Chart notes
CLOUSEAU reserved after the break then moved to a stalking position behind the dueling leaders racing three wide, launched a bid from the seven-sixteenths, loomed at the top of the stretch, was not making much headway under right handed urging then surged when the rider switched to left handed urging and pulled ahead in the final yards. TRUSTY RUSTY broke well and dueled for the lead with CARDIFF CRACK while under a rating hold, was left alone on a clear lead from the three furlong pole but was not asked until the top of the stretch, kicked on when called upon, finished well but got passed in the final yards by the winner. PARK CITY was allowed to settle from the break then went three wide into the first turn, remained out in the clear down the backstretch, advanced into contention on the far turn, still about three wide and finished well under steady handling but could not catch the top two. COUSIN RICHIE was last away but saved ground through the first turn while being taken in hand, pulled into contention down the backstretch under a light hold then got boxed in through the far turn, got clear run in upper stretch but was outkicked to the finish. CARDIFF CRACK broke well and got the rail position into the first turn, dueled on the lead through slow fractions with TRUSTY RUSTY to far turn, started to drop off the pace near the three-furlong pole then was last into the stretch and was outrun in the late stages.
