Chart notes
NEED TO KNOW BASIS prompted the pace early, settled off the pacesetter along the fence through the far turn saving ground, rallied up the rail to take the lead inside the sixteenth pole and held the closer safe on the wire. MOREAU reserved off the pace down the backstretch, commenced a rally circling five wide on the far turn and closed well down the lane to come up just short. BEN DIESEL sped to the lead into the first turn, opened a clear advantage on the backstretch, widened on the final turn, responded gamely through the lane and weakened inside the eighth pole. COUNTRY CLUB BOBBY tracked the leaders for the first half mile, made an early bid to loom in upper stretch and finished evenly unable to sustain the bid. THRU THE VINE was well placed just off the leaders for five-eighths and faded on the far turn. SOUL COAXING went evenly never posing a threat. ROYAL DRAGOON broke slow to be the trailer and was never involved.
