Chart notes
NEIMAN followed along patiently, off the rail, stalking the sprinting leaders, then closed willingly from the outside to draw clear of the field and win easily. COMPETITIVE IDEA was near the back early, then offered a bid around the turn, angling to the outside and rallying for place. DEAN'S LIST was mid field early on, racing three wide, then angled in down the lane, gaining ground in late stretch to grab third. SWEET RIVER BAINES was mid pack, racing along the rail, made a mild bid in the stretch drive and passed the tiring leaders. BYE broke sharp, dueling for the lead thought the turn, but gave way in the stretch. FIRST CALL hustled up early, pressed the pace, then dueled for the lead through the turn but weakened in the stretch.
