Chart notes
BOLD BUCKEYE never far back, closed willingly four then two wide through the turn, made the lead in upper stretch and proved best under strong handling by a narrow margin. PLAYING FOR KEEPS pressed the pace two wide, bumped LUCKY VICTOR past the seven sixteenths pole, dueled the balance of the trip along the inside and just missed. COLOR BEARER stalked the pace three wide into the turn, drew on near even terms for the lead, matched strides into the lane then was outfinished. LUST FOR LIFE bobbled at the start, was allowed to settle and finished with good courage five wide. DREAMINGABOUTTIME settled five wide, angled in two wide nearing the turn, moved closed along the inside past the three eighths pole then came up empty. LUCKY VICTOR set the early pace along the rail, was bumped by the runner up just past the seven sixteenths pole then was in tight at the three furlong marker and dropped back. LONE BOY trailed. THE STEWARDS POSTED THE INQUIRY SIGN AND AFTER REVIEW DISQUALIFIED PLAYING FOR KEEPS FOR INTERFERENCE NEAR THE SEVEN SIXTEENTHS POLE AND PLACED HIM SIXTH.
