Chart notes
CATCH THE HUMOR rounded the first turn about the five path then stalked into the backstretch, bid nearing the five sixteenths pole, drew to even terms two deep midway on the far turn, took the nod into the lane, dueled clear mid-stretch and held on well. DORADO saved ground into the first turn then bid past the seven sixteenths pole, but steadied in tight at the rail approaching the quarter, eased out and took aim three wide nearing the head of the lane then dueled to clear second inside the sixteenth pole. PARK AVE PRINCE was hustled to the lead and moved in entering the first turn, came under pressure past the half mile pole and was met at the rail midway on the far turn, then weakened inside the eighth pole. YOUTHFUL ENERGY settled in the three path the first turn, picked up the chase nearing the three eighths pole and rounded the far turn in the three and four paths, then flattened in the lane. W V LAD broke awkwardly and rounded the first turn about the four path, left the turn outside and gave chase from the seven sixteenths pole but showed little response. GRANDY steadied in tight at the rail into the first turn then stalked and challenged past the half mile pole, but faded leaving the three eighths.
