MAX'S MAXINE prominent away from the start, stalked the moderate early pace outside of PRANCIN LADY, stalked three wide and between runners into the turn, roused at the quarter pole, confronted PRANCIN LADY into the stretch and battled to the furlong marker, drew to even terms past mid-stretch, wore down the stubborn runner-up into the final sixteenth and edged away late to prove best. PRANCIN LADY broke alertly and assumed early command, set a moderate pace heading to the half-mile marker, showed the way into the turn while off of the rail, dictated terms to the quarter pole and met the bid of MAX'S MAXINE into upper stretch, dug in while on the left lead past mid-stretch, was overtaken into the final sixteenth and was well clear of the rest for second. UNION HEIRESS raced close up to the moderate early pace, tracked between runners heading to the half-mile marker, chased four wide into the turn and was well placed nearing the quarter marker, could not muster the needed response in the stretch drive and was a clear third at the finish. SOUND OF GLORY bobbled at the start, rushed up in the early stages and tracked the moderate pace outside of rivals, raced five wide into the turn, shifted three wide nearing the quarter marker, lacked a response into the stretch and weakened in the final furlong. GOOLAWAY broke slowly and was a bit green in the early going, was allowed to settle while not far back and trailed at the half-mile pole, saved ground into the turn and chased the moderate pace nearing the quarter marker, could not keep pace into the stretch and tired late.
