VILLANITO vied inside for the lead, dueled on the backside, shook free on the far turn, pulled away on his own and drew off in hand. MENDELSFLY vied two wide for the lead, chased the winner on the far turn, dug in gamely in the stretch and held well for the place spot. FIRST SQUAD tracked on the inside, moved up at the half mile marker on the rail, then chased inside and got third on the rail in the stretch. KHOPESH raced four wide early, settled off the pace, chased three wide on the far turn and was outfinished for third. SURFBOARD stalked three wide, chased on the turn and tired. BOINTHEBACK was outrun.
