Chart notes
SPIRIT OF AKRON broke alertly quickly dropping to the inside crossing rivals paths, took command down the backside under mild pressure, kicked clear in upper stretch and drew away unthreatened. GOLDEN MONEY held up a couple jumps from the gate when the winner crossed over early, remained in hand to midway on the turn and rallied steadily from six wide down the lane. STONE COLD CAT brushed leaving the gate by the winner, dropped to the rear of the field to be well off the pace and showed some good late interest in the lane to be along for the show. WORTHY OPPONENT prompted the pace to the head of the stretch and weakened coming home. NAMBITI chased the pace through the turn and faded in the lane. THE RIDER OF THE RUNNER-UP CLAIMED FOUL FOR INTERFERENCE BY THE WINNER LEAVING THE GATE, UPON REVIEW THE STEWARDS MADE NO CHANGE.
