CAVIAR COWBOY was a step slow away from the start, allowed to settle in the early stages, saved ground into the turn and advanced nearing the quarter pole, angled out in upper stretch and ran evenly to the furlong marker, could not impact the winner into the final sixteenth but closed into deep stretch and was clear in the end for second. CAPTAIN WILLIS vied for the lead away from the start, pressed the decent early pace from inside of rivals, saved ground into the turn and chased the pace nearing the quarter pole, re-rallied into upper stretch and battled to the furlong grounds, could not match strides with TYPHOON TOMMY into the final sixteenth, was outfinished for second in deep stretch and held for third at the wire. CHARLIE NEAL was squeezed at the start and was away a bit slowly, settled off of the decent early pace while not far back, maintained an outside path into the turn, chased four wide nearing the quarter pole then came five wide into the stretch, needed more into the final sixteenth but stayed on late and improved position. BIG BAD BERT was forwardly placed away from the start, stalked the decent early pace from between runners, chased between rivals into the turn then was caught in tight and boxed in at the quarter pole, was outkicked into the stretch and weakened in the final stages. SWISS LAKER BOY broke through the gate prior to the start, was away in good order and settled off of the decent early pace, tracked two to three wide into the turn, could not muster the needed response in the stretch drive and passed tiring rivals late. UNUSUAL MEMORIES was forwardly placed to begin, pressed the decent early pace between rivals approaching the half-mile pole, lost position into the turn and chased two to three wide heading to the quarter pole, gave way into upper stretch and could not muster a late response. YOUR SWEET BABY prominent away from the start, disputed the decent early pace from outside of rivals, pressed the pace into the turn and went three wide nearing the quarter pole, could not keep pace into the stretch and faded in the final furlong. STAR CHIEFTAIN raced close up to the decent early pace, pressed the pace between rivals nearing the half-mile marker then lost position approaching the turn, chased three wide into the bend, stopped in upper stretch, was eased through the lane and walked off under his own power.
