RUNNIN UTE broke well and pressed the pace just behind the leading pair, took command at the top of the stretch and finished strong under steady handling to prevail. HALO RANDO steadied a few yards out of the gate but still managed get forward position, dueled with EL GALLITO from the half-mile marker, got the best of that one at the top of the stretch but was unable to fend off RUNNIN UTE down the stretch, kept to task and held second well clear of the third horse. . IT AINT OVER was last away and outrun in the early stages, stayed to the outside in the four or five path down the backstretch then launched a bid from the five-sixteenths, got a clean run through the turn then found a hole along the rail in upper stretch and finished well to gain third. HOT GOBLIN broke well, showed good speed without being pushed, sat behind the developing pace battle then launched a bid with three fulongs to turn, came four to five wide into the stretch and ran on but was not good enough. EL GALLITO broke well from the outside and gained the lead before a furlong while being pressed by SIX HOT GRANDS to the inside and HALO RANDO to the outside, pulled a way from the back at the half-mile mark with and dueled with HALO RANDO through the turn, then joined by RUNNIN UTE near the quarter pole, gave way at the top of the stretch and faded. SIX HOT GRANDS was inside the scramble for the early lead, pressed the pace into the turn, had trouble keeping up from the five-sixteenths and was outrun in the stretch. BOLD ENCOUNTER was off a beat slow and raced near the back of the front pack, not far off the pace through the initial stages, moved to the three or four path for the turn, tried to mount a rally but stalled before the quarter pole and had little to offer in the stretch.
