UPDRAFT was a step slow away from the start, allowed to settle in the early stages, raced two wide into the first turn, well placed into the backstretch run, made a middle move nearing the half-mile marker and vied three wide and between rivals at that station, took command into the second turn, battled DORADUS to the quarter pole, repelled that rival into upper stretch and kicked clear at the furlong marker, kept to task while clear into the final sixteenth, felt late pressure from the quickly oncoming runner-up and held in a drive at the wire. BRUISER brushed the gate leaving the start, was off slowly and spotted the field to begin, was unhurried while trailing into the backstretch run, gained ground nearing the half-mile pole and continued his sustained rally into the far turn, went three to four wide approaching the quarter pole, responded to urging into the stretch and gained at the furlong marker, found his best stride late and missed for the win, while clear of the rest for second. DORADUS prominent away from the start, vied for the early lead then took back and tracked the pace three wide into the first turn, stalked the moderate pace four deep along the backstretch run, was well placed at the half-mile pole, advanced into the far turn and vied for the lead at the quarter marker, was repelled by UPDRAFT into upper stretch, stayed on into the final furlong, could not match strides with the leading pair late and held safely for third. WHATAFOOLBELIEVES hustled leaving the start, vied for the early lead between rivals then assumed command into the first turn, set a moderate pace into the backstretch run, was prompted heading to the half-mile marker, was overtaken into the second turn and chased the leaders to the quarter pole, gave way into the stretch and did not offer a late response. LATER TAMARTATER allowed to settle while never far back early on, saved ground into the first turn, got caught a bit in tight approaching the backstretch run, raced on a hold and steadied nearing the five and a half furlong marker, tracked the moderate pace from inside of rivals heading to the half-mile, was shut off and took up entering the second turn, chased the leaders two wide nearing the quarter marker and could not muster a response in the stretch drive. BEAR ENCOUNTER settled off of the early pace while never far back, tracked outside of runners and went three to four wide along the first turn, was well placed along the backstretch run and tracked the moderate pace from the second flight heading to the half-mile pole, chased four to three wide into the far turn, could not keep pace into upper stretch and weakened in the drive.
