Chart notes
MISS MANDALAY (GB) broke slow on the outside, raced outside a rival at the back then moved into range quickly while moving inside, waited behind the top pair around the turn and eased over to the two path, tipped out in upper stretch, drew alongside CYPRUS MOON past the eighth pole, put a head in front a sixteenth out and drove clear. CYPRUS MOON pressed the leader from outside up the backstretch, raced on even terms at the quarter pole, put away inner rival at the eighth pole but was immediately challenged by the winner inside the eighth pole, relinquished the lead at the sixteenth pole, yielded late and held second. TAHITI ITI broke a bit slow, trailed on the inside into the turn, moved over to the two path on the turn, cut the corner entering the lane, moved out a bit in the drive and rallied for third. SPARROW stalked the top pair off the rail, rounded the bend two then three wide, followed in range down the stretch but finished evenly late. SWEET VOYAGE raced in range between rivals, got crowded near the seven-sixteenths pole, angled to the rail on the turn, tipped back out into the lane and lacked a rally. CURRENT AFFAIR set the pace inside a rival up the backstretch, headed at the quarter pole, lost command in upper stretch, yielded at the eighth pole and weakened in the late stages. BLISSTERINTHESUN chased widest up the backstretch, went four wide into the turn, moved into the three path around the bend, tipped back out approaching the stretch and weakened.
