UPLIFT was crowded at the start and broke slowly, settled off of the moderate early pace, improved position two wide along the turn, got caught in tight nearing the quarter marker, angled four wide into upper stretch, rallied and vied for the lead at the eighth pole, took command past mid-stretch, kicked clear into the final sixteenth and pulled away late to win as much the best. IM GUNNA was hustled away from the start and was prominent in the early going, pressed the moderate early pace from between runners heading to the half-mile pole, well placed approaching the turn, stalked three to four wide nearing the quarter marker then vied for the lead into upper stretch, took a narrow lead at the furlong marker then was overtaken by UPLIFT past mid-stretch, could not match strides with the winner into the final sixteenth and stayed on late to be second best. MOOLA MAN vied for the early lead from between rivals, took back then steadied in tight quarters at the half-mile pole, saved ground into the turn and chased the moderate pace nearing the quarter marker, waited for racing room nearing the top of the lane, found room into upper stretch and gained ground at the furlong marker, could not keep pace with the top pair late and held well for third at the finish. BANG AND A BOOM away in good order, was shuffled back in the early stages and was hard to place in the opening furlong, chased the moderate pace heading to the half-mile pole, ran in pursuit into the turn and gained ground four to five wide at the quarter marker, swung six wide into upper stretch and ran evenly to the furlong pole, could not muster the needed late response and just missed for third at the wire. CANGREJO broke in at the start and crowded an inner rival, was prominent in the early going and pressed the pace from inside of SCIENCE RULES, chased that rival into the turn, shifted to the outside along the bend and went up and vied for the lead three wide at the quarter marker, battled with IM GUNNA into upper stretch, lost position at the furlong marker and faded in the late stages. SEAVER WAY forwardly placed early, chased the moderate pace from between rivals heading to the half-mile pole, ran in pursuit outside of rivals into the turn, went two to three wide nearing the quarter pole, shifted four to five wide into upper stretch and ran evenly to the furlong marker, lacked a late response and weakened in the final sixteenth. EL GOLOSO vied for the early lead away from the start, took back and chased the moderate pace from the inside, well placed into the turn, saved ground along the bend then got caught in tight and took up at the quarter pole, lost position into upper stretch and gave way. SIBERIAN SLEW settled off of the moderate early pace, trailed into the turn, went two to three wide nearing the quarter marker, passed tiring rivals in the stretch drive and did not factor in the late stages. BOSTON BURGLAR vied for the early lead from between runners, was shuffled back and tracked the moderate pace outside of rivals heading to the half-mile pole, chased five wide into the turn and advanced at the quarter marker, could not sustain that run into the stretch and failed to threaten in the late stages. SCIENCE RULES broke alertly, showed good early speed and assumed command away from the start, set a moderate pace while pressured nearing the half-mile marker, set the pace off of the rail into the turn, came under pressure nearing the quarter pole, was overtaken into upper stretch and faded in the drive.
