Chart notes
ALMOST SNOW broke on top and vied for the early lead under some restraint, was content to cede the pacesetting duties to WOUND UP while pressing the issue three to four wide, loomed at the quarter pole but had to go into a stiff drive in the stretch when that rival got the jump at the top of the stretch, finished well under strong handling and wore down that foe in the final yards. WOUND UP broke well and contested the lead with ALMOST SNOW, put a head in front passing the half mile pole then battled back when challenged by ALMOST SNOW near the five-sixteenths marker, opened up a bit at the top of the stretch, finished well but could not hold back the winner in he fnal stages. HARCYN broke a step slow and settled near the back of a fairly compact field early, moved closer through the turn up the rail, loomed a big threat at the top of the stretch but could not find another gear when needed came up short. RUNNIN UTE settled behind the pace then started a forward move through the turn, came into the stretch behind horses, could not get clear until too late. MR. FIGHTER was outrun through the early stages, did not make up any ground through the turn but was kept to task and passed a couple in the strretch. ROCKET RIBBON came away well and tracked just behind the pace while keeping to the inside, got clear run through the stretch and bid for the lead from the five-sixteenths marker, briefly got a head in front and battled to mid-stretch then flatteneed and got outrun in the late stages. DR. FLASH DANCER tracked in the middle of the pack through the early stages, started to lose ground from the quarter pole and was no threat in the stretch.
