Chart notes
COME OUT FIGHTING broke alertly, vied for the early lead then was sent to assume command, showed good speed and set a solid pace while pressured nearing the half-mile pole, disputed the pace outside of NO D'ORO into the turn, battled that rival into upper stretch then shook free approaching the furlong grounds, was kept to task into the final sixteenth and drove clear under steady urging in the late stages. VALIANT SON hopped at the start and broke a bit slowly, recovered and tracked the solid early pace from the inside, was well placed into the turn and saved ground along the bend, got caught in tight at the quarter pole and angled four wide into upper stretch, gained ground at the furlong marker, could not make headway on the winner in deep stretch and was second best in a good effort. EVERYDAYISSATURDAY broke out at the start and was off slowly, settled off of the solid early pace while never far back, chased outside of rivals into the turn, went four to five wide nearing the quarter marker, ran evenly to mid-stretch, was outkicked in the final furlong and stayed on in deep stretch to earn the show honors. NOVINOPHOBIA took back in the early going, was content to trail at the half-mile pole and raced four to five wide into the turn, swung six wide into upper stretch, closed well while widest in the final sixteenth and missed for the show honors. ROLLIN DICE broke in a step at the start but was away in good order, disputed the solid early pace outside of rivals, pressed the pace four to five wide into the turn, was well placed at the quarter pole and battled into upper stretch, raced in contention into the final furlong, could not sustain his run into the final sixteenth and flattened out late. NO D'ORO was prominent early, went up and pressed the solid pace inside of COME OUT FIGHTING, disputed the pace with that rival into the turn, battled into upper stretch, was turned away at the furlong marker and faded in the late stages. BERTACCHI chased the early pace from between rivals, ran in pursuit three wide into the turn, lost ground at the quarter pole and tired in the stretch drive.
