Chart notes
HUMBER RIVER tracked on the rail in the beginning, moved in on the fence to engage up front at the half, dueled on the rail around the turn, edge away from rivals at the furlong marker and held safe late for the win. RED WEAVER was hustled early on taking the lead between foes in early backstretch, battled up top with challengers on either side through the turn, was no match for the stablemate inside with a furlong left to run and finished up well to easily best the rest for the runners up share at the wire. FICTION hesitated on the break, was eager behind horses pulling the rider closing the gap on the leaders down the backside, settled on the fence in a compact bunch in the second flight into the turn, waited behind the dueling leaders inside rivals through the turn, shifted out the three path behind the embattled duo in upper stretch and finished mildly to a distant but clear third at the finish line. SPRINGER veered out/leaping up on the break, recovered to track between foes in the three path down the backside, settled in the second flight with runners on either side on the turn, lacked room behind the leaders having foes keeping him in at the quarter pole as well, shifted out five wide having a clear lane at the top of the stretch but could only finish up gradually to the wire getting a minor placing in the end. LAST RIDE stalked outside near the rear, could see the field when the group tightened up at the half, made little movement around the bend, angled to the four path for the stretch run and passed tired foes in the final sixteenth of a mile. BENNYS JETS prompted the pace outside four deep down the backside, was urged three wide early in the turn moving in to be in the mix outside at the quarter pole, shifted just outside in the four path still in the hunt entering the stretch, could not go with the top two finishers who had it to themselves down the lane and wilted between runners with a sixteenth remaining. TIZABLING was away slowly to trail the field along the backside, picked up a runner on the outside three furlongs from home, made a brief rally outside through the turn, angled out in the six path turning for home, could not sustain the run in upper stretch and yielded in the final furlong.
