Chart notes
SOUPER DORMY settled in midfield on the outside down the back straight, advanced smartly three wide at the three eighths pole, bid for the lead four wide in upper stretch, drifted in nearing the furlong pole seizing the lead and won going away at the wire. LAST AMERICAN EXIT kept a close eye on the leader outside going down the backside, chased between rivals around the bend, was in the thick of things in the three path entering the stretch, shifted out four wide losing his lane coming up to the eighth pole and tenaciously came back on to get up fir the place share in deep stretch. COURAGEOUS COPPER stalked near the rear inside a rival, closed the gap going three wide between foes around the bend, shifted to the six-path straightening out for home, had to angle out more to be eight wide finally getting a clear run and closed in sharply late to capture the show award. AIR COMBAT travelled in the two path with runners on either side watching the top two down the backside, sat patiently rating kindly behind the leaders in the turn, skimmed the fence turning for home, dueled for the place share when the winner pulled away a the furlong marker but faded slightly late being caught for third nearing the wire. BORDER TOWN settled between runners tracking the lead duo at the half, kept pace with nudged on through the turn, shifted out to be in range for a share five wide at the top of the lane but could only finish up paced in deep stretch. HIGHLAND LIFE was coaxed early trying to get a better inside position, sat behind the leader into the backstretch, was in tight on the rail in mid-pack at the half, dropped back midway around the turn, lacked room weaving through traffic in the last eighth down the stretch and could not fully extend himself in the late stages. BOLD RELOAD was loose on the lead along the backstretch, continued to roll along around the bend, maintained a slim lead in the three path at the top of the lane, could not find another to fend off rivals late and was engulfed at the sixteenth pole. RAT PORTAGE was unhurried trailing outside rivals down the backstretch, tried to circle around foes going four wide at the three furlong pole, took closer order outside runners through the turn, shifted out to the seven path for the stretch run but had little left for the drive to the finish line. DADDY SEND MONEY had a stalking role ahead of a couple of rivals along the backside, regressed in the two path through the turn and emptied out by upper stretch.
